Long overdue update time. I would say the BIGGEST meet was of course, the iconic frontman of The Who, Roger Daltrey, in Manhattan during May of 2022! He was of course, the original Col. Angus Rickman. Rog is usually pretty tough in person, I'd been to his book signing and a few other things prior.

Dawnn Lewis (The Breeder) was a very very brief encounter while she was appearing in the Tina Turner musical on Broadway, in December 2019.

NJ's Christmas Con has been a staple for awhile now. They had James Denton from Desperate Housewives in December 2022, but we know him as Bullock from The Good, the Bad, and the Wealthy. A few months prior, I met Venus Terzo from Greatfellas at the RetroCon in Oaks, PA.

I got to meet Rebecca Gayheart (Time Again and World) at the March 2023 Monster Mania show in Cherry Hill, NJ. I would up asking her about Urban Legend though.

Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs actually recalled working on Sliders (Dead Man Sliding), met him at Chiller in April 2024.

Ben Jones (Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?) famously portrayed Cooter on The Dukes of Hazzard. Back in July 2024, I made the trip down to Luray, Virginia, for a Dukes reunion. Unfortunately, Mr. Jones was mostly off limits due to his age and health, but I did catch him waving as he made his way to the stage.

James Patrick Stuart (Obsession) does a lot of soap meet ups, for his long time work on General Hospital, and one such happened in New Brunswick, NJ, in April of 2025. I found him ironically in the parking garage as it was pouring out, and he was very nice. Even signed a few cards!

This one took FOREVER, almost 12 years! I met Stephen Macht from Common Ground and New Gods for Old, years ago at a convention, talked to him about Sliders, but was out of cash. He was announced and canceled numerous conventions over the years, before FINALLY appeared in Massachusetts, and I made the drive up there, in September 2025. He was still one of the nicest actors you'd ever speak to.

Reno Wilson from S5 Please Press One at Chiller back in April, and Jennifer Hetrick (Last Days, The Seer) last weekend at a small Trek con on Long Island. Neither of them could recall much about their roles on the show though.

I also got to meet Katherine LaNasa (The Dream Masters) back in May, who was in NYC promoting her work on The Pitt, which is a terrific show!

I caught up with Cleavant and Jerry over the last month or so in New York. Derricks leaving Wicked the Musical of course, while Jerry appeared on Andy Cohen's show. Both were very nice as always. Jerry remembered me and was appreciative of the Twitter Sliders Rewatches but he apologized he didn't have time to do it. Neither sounded too optimistic about Sliders reboot. but they did sign my cards and Jerry hit a few comics too!

Recently I ran into Robert Cuccioli, who is frequently acting in Broadway and Off-Broadway theater in New York. Don't ask me why I hadn't before, but I had some free time one night. He was, as expected, surprised I gave a crap about him, ha ha. He did recall the episode (Heavy Metal) in which he was in, and mentioned that the show was a lot of fun to do. I did confirm that the long hair/mullet he had was in fact real!

I've heard of X-Fest. What was attendance like? I think I emailed them once, telling them they should have a little sister subconvention for Sliders fans at the event.

Yea man, I'm in NJ! Last weekend I hit up the X-files mini-convention near Chicago, called X-Fest 2. They had multiple guest star Larry Musser there. I of course tried to jog his Sliders memory, as he played Jake the handyman a few times in S1. He didn't recall much, in fact, he swore he was Quinn's dad! He was partially correct as on one of the worlds, Jake DID marry Mrs. M! LOL. Super nice guy.

I met JRD at NYCC a few years ago and he was awesome. I hate how expensive NYCC is, but I didn't hesitate to get an autograph and photo op with him. I hope to meet Jerry and other some day.

Grizzlor, you must be from NY also because you're going to all the local shows! I'm an LI guy.

It's funny how Sliders seems to have stuck with so many of the guest stars. You'd think it'd just be a job for most of them, and quickly forgotten.
