Topic: New Back To the Future comic

A new comic for Back To the Future is coming on October 21, 2015 (of course) from IDW Publishing. I'm as much of a BTTF fan as I am a Sliders fan, and I know a lot of you guys are BTTF fans, too.

Hmm, that's neat. Untold stories! I've always wondered how Marty met Doc.

CHUD.com has a pretty great retrospective on every installment on BACK TO THE FUTURE. Hopefully, the comic will be a worthy addition. The retrospective did a nice job of pointing something out: BTTF isn't really built as a series and the sequels had to tie themselves in knots to wring more story out of the concept. The comics, doing untold stories, seem to be cautiously steering around those difficulties.

I gotta read that.  I've always sorta thought the BTTF was overrated - I don't particularly love any of the entries.  But it's a fun group of movies, and I do like reading about them.

If Michael J. Fox hadn't been struck with his awful disease, I really think it's a series that would've had a fourth entry.  And, honestly, I think it's a series that could've had a cool reboot/sequel.  There's plenty of places to go with the series, and I'd love to see where Doc and Marty are in the real 2015.  It's really too bad.
